Treviso, Italy just launched the world's first Tiramisu Run — a 10k where the finish line prize is all the tiramisu you can eat. We loved the idea so much we're throwing our own version, right here at FGF.

Here's how it works: bring your own homemade tiramisu (yes, you're making it — don't worry, it doesn't have to be pretty), then join us for a fun, easy group run/walk out of the gym. When we get back, we'll sample everyone's creations together.

This is NOT a training run. No pace groups, no intensity, no pressure. Walk it, jog it, chat the whole way — however you want to move is the right way to move. The whole point is to get outside, get moving, and eat dessert with friends.

The Route: Bridge-to-Bridge Charles River Loop

A scenic 10K (6.2-mile) loop starting and finishing right at 30 Court Square. All paved, pedestrian-friendly, and easy to walk or jog.

1

Outbound to the River (~1.1 miles)

  • Head southwest past Beacon Hill toward the edge of the Public Garden.
  • Cross Arlington Street onto the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge to access the Charles River Esplanade path without dealing with Storrow Drive traffic.
2

Boston Esplanade Path (~1.4 miles)

  • Turn left and head westbound along the paved river trail, passing the Hatch Shell and lagoon paths toward Back Bay.
  • Follow the path until reaching Massachusetts Avenue at the foot of the Harvard Bridge.
3

Crossing to Cambridge (~0.4 miles)

  • Turn right and cross over the Harvard Bridge (Mass Ave) into Cambridge, taking in panoramic views of the Back Bay skyline.
4

Cambridge Riverfront Path (~1.5 miles)

  • At the Cambridge end of the bridge, turn right onto the Paul Dudley White Multi-Use Path along Memorial Drive.
  • Head east toward Kendall Square, enjoying uninterrupted waterfront running with clear views across the basin toward Boston.
5

Crossing Back over the Longfellow (~0.4 miles)

  • Turn right and cross back toward Boston over the historic Longfellow Bridge.
6

Return to Court Square (~1.4 miles)

  • Come off the bridge into Charles Circle, then head straight down Cambridge Street past Government Center.
  • Turn slightly right onto Court Street to finish back at 30 Court Square.

Key Tips for the Run

  • Pacing & Footing: The entire Charles River loop and bridge pathways are paved and pedestrian-friendly.
  • Timing: Running this loop in the morning offers great skyline lighting over the water and less pedestrian congestion near the Hatch Shell.
